Papua New Guinea Peaberry - Koban (2016)

This is a Peaberry coffee from the Koban Plantaion in Papua New Guinea. Koban is a large estate ( 550 hectares) located next to Kimel estate in the Dei council, Western Highlands ( approx. 50 K south of MT Hagen). The elevation of the estate is around 1585 masl and the soil is mostly sandy loam. Cultivation is conducted under shade trees such as Albizias and Gravilleas and the main varieties under production are Mondonovo, Blue Mountain, Typica, Arusha, Caturra.
