This is a SHG EP organically certified coffee grown by the Productores de Cafe de la Sierra (PROCASI) located near Motozintla de Mendoza in the Oaxaca region of Mexico. PROCASI was formed as a farmers working group in 1999 and soon became legalized in August, 2000. Right away they began working towards organic production and achieved Organic certification in 2004. Today, the group has over 270 members. The coffee is grown at over 1,290 masl in a beautiful region bordered by the Sierras del Sur de Chiapas and the Cuchumatanes volcano.
