This is an SHG EP grade coffee from the Santa Barbara district of Western Honduras. This microlot separation is from producer Francisco Sagastume, was dry milled at Beneficio San Vicente, and is 100% Parainema variety. Francisco started selling his coffee to San Vicente since the start of operations in 1980. His younger brother, Pedro, encouraged him to focus on specialty coffee to supply his incom, but La Roya destroyed his Pacas and Catuai farm, immensely affecting his yield. By 2013, Francisco and his sons chose to plant the new hybrid - a Rust resistant variety called Parainema. Francisco passed away not too long ago, but this lot remains the result of his labor and dedication to his crop.
