This is a Fair Trade, organic coffee from La Unión, a municipality in the Honduran department of Lempira, from cooperative CARUCHIL (Cooperativa Agropecuaria Regional Unión Chinacla Limitada).
Founded in 1985, and officially legally established in 1991, CARUCHIL is a cooperative composed of small and medium coffee producers of the Lenca ethnic group.
The coop's main focus is sustainable production to improve market access for their farmers and in turn improving their income and welfare.
Varietals grown include Catuai, Bourbon, Caturra, Lempira and Paca.
