Guatemala Quezaltepeque SHB EP IWCA Organic - ADISQUE (2014 Crop)

The ADISQUE coffee producers association consists of 164 families of mainly the Mayan ethnicity in the Chorti region near the Sierra de las Minas and Sierra de Chama mountains. They have 165.75 hectares of organic coffee growing area. The region has a very special micro climate that is influenced by the Caribbean Sea and the two mountains. 49 women are involved in the cultivation of this coffee. ADISQUE's mission is to create economic development for its social partners while ensuring environmental sustainability. The coffee is grown by members of the International Women in Coffee Association (IWCA).
