This Grade 1, washed coffee comes from the Yirgacheffe region, which is part of Gediyo Zone, in Ethiopia. Worka is a cooperative founded in 2005 located in Gedeb made up of over 300 members, each individually farming their own 4 hectare farms at altitudes of up to 2,500 masl.
The region is characterized by high altitudes ranging from 2160 - 2190 masl, annual rainfall ranging from 1780 - 2100mm, and temperatures ranging from 22 - 26 degrees centigrade. The soil type is red brown, well drainaged fertile clay soil.
Picking season is from December to the end of January.
