El Salvador SHG EP Natural - Las Brisas (2017 Crop)

This is an SHG EP grade natural processed coffee from Finca Las Brisas which is Located in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range in the Concepcion de Ataco municipality of the Ahuachapan department in El Salvador. Finca Las Brisas is one of 5 farms owned by third generation coffee grower Jose Enrique Gutierrez. Jose employs around 70 people year round and 150 during harvest. Las Brisas grows Bourbon, Pacas, and Caturra varieties and sits at around 1,100 masl. Jose takes pride in his efforts to preserve the surrounding environments of his farms through practices such as using only biological fungi to control pests and diseases, and cultivating native shade and fruit trees. Employees have access to healthcare and land is provided for them to grow crops of corn and beans in order to help them have an extra stream of income and food security.
