Brazil Café Delas - Arabela Pereira Lima

This is a single estate coffee from Olam's Café Delas program. Café Delas was created to help women farmers access the resources, knowledge, and voice they need to grow their operations to its fullest potential. For every Café Delas sale, a portion of the profit is reinvested toward programs that promote gender equality and empower women in the field.

This coffee is a natural processed, screen size 17up coffee from farm Nova Esperança in Monte Santo de Minas in Mogiana. The farm was founded in 1973, and sits at 1,250 masl, where rainfall is plentiful. This lot was produced by Arabela Pereira Lima. 

“It all started during my childhood," says Arabela, "I used to accompany my mother, Leda, to the farm and later she encouraged me to attend the college of agronomy. From thern until now the interest has become a passion and I can’t imagine myself working with in any other career" 

"The desire to stay in the profession comes from knowing that I never know everything, there is always a new knowledge to be tested, it is always dynamic. Also, the satisfaction of being able to please several people with my work, that’s something priceless to me.”
