Bali Vintage 'Gunung Bau' (2015 Crop)

Bali Vintage is an Olam Specialty Coffee premium brand. Bali Vintage coffee is fully washed and dry hulled. It is carefully selected from farms between 1,000 and 1,200 masl in the Kintamani and Bangli regions of Bali. Given the exceptional quality of these coffees, we process each lot separately as microlots. This particular lot came from Gunung Bau in Kintamani village. Gunung Bau means 'highland' and is home to 176 families. Legend says that once upon a time the villagers lived in peace and harmony until the time that a giant destroyed the gardens and homes. This happened for years and until the villagers got angry and burnt the giant's cave. After that the villagers moved to the highlands and called the new place “Gunung Bau”.
